I strongly dislike the phrase 'terrible twos' being used to describe young humans. Based on my experience working directly with young humans and their caregivers, the 'terrible' part is that the adults caring for the young humans do not have the skills and understanding needed to provide respectful care. I recommend this video to all those who care for infants and toddlers. This video will increase your understanding of young humans, teach you new strategies as caregivers, and give you peace in your important work of supporting young humans. Magda Gerber's explanations and examples will definitely help see infants and toddlers in your care in a different light. Yes, it is a long video and yet very powerful! Enjoy learning from the video below!
